Another reason why I only study at home
Self explanatory:

Begin Round Two
Round two of testing hell begins today. The anatomy test today is from 1-5 and it’s practically a final over the entire musculoskeletal system and the thoracic cavity (minus the specifics about the heart). It’s 6:39 a.m. and I’m feeling pretty confident, but I am sure that this afternoon during the 4-hour test I will at some point find myself staring down at some strange looking white wispy thing and saying to myself, “So, is that the left recurrent laryngeal nerve, the ligamentum arteriosum, or the ansa subclavia? SHIT.” Because that always seems to happen. Oh and I still hate joints, origins/actions/insertions of muscles, and the heart. Too bad thats 89% of the test.
Monday is physiology, which I am sure will be a hoot. Basically my plan is to come home tonight, clean house like crazy (because Beau is shedding… a lot) and do my SOAP (did I mention I haven’t even started that yet and it’s due on Tuesday? But really, how many things can cause swelling in the cubital joint? Oh…. wait….) and then go to bed. I will “study” all weekend for Phys and once that beastly test is over, it’s straight on the 200 pages of notes in Histology and the thirty or so slides and random pink and purple structures I have to learn for Thursday.
Life is grand!
But I am feeling better today, which is always good, because then I tend to hate people less.
old stuff | Comment (0)10 to go
5 weeks in, only 10 to go, not including finals week.
I need to count down because I am seriously burning out fast here. I wish we could have a fall break like the rest of the world, or at least get Labor Day off. Or something.
However, this Friday is an “Open Forum” session, so I am hoping that during the 2-hour-waste-of-my-life seminar we have on Friday mornings, someone in the class will be brave enough to stand up and say, “Hey, having some people from Student Counseling come talk to us like we’re freshmen in college is really unhelpful. I’m pretty sure I could study better and have less stress if I didn’t have to sit through a two hour lecture on ‘College Isn’t Like High School.’”
Fingers are crossed.
And the waking up in the morning thing probably isn’t going to work out. Living in this house is too noisy for me to actually get any sleep. So another method will have to be devised.
